Betty Paz, C.M.T.
Betty has completed more than 500 hours of training at the Body Therapy Center in Palo Alto where she now volunteers as a teaching assistant. She specializes in structural bodywork, which combines the gentler more moderate Swedish relaxation techniques with the muscle-specific Deep Tissue techniques, and a Sports Medicine approach, resulting in a well balanced massage.
Her Esalen Massage approach incorporates long strokes punctuated with deep specific work, passive joint movement and personal connection to create a state of awareness and energized relaxation in the receiver.
She also practices prenatal massage for the second trimester and beyond; the light to medium strokes includes deep back work.
According to Betty, "Massage is one of the most effective ways to reduce stress, relieve pain, and can be calming and soothing on a body that is changing dramatically every day. I enjoy my work and feel really good about the chance to have a positive impact on people's health and energy. I am licensed in the City of Mountain View and I am fully insured to practice anywhere, anytime."
Enjoy your personalized massage in a peaceful environment, surrounded by candles and soothing music. If you find heat relaxing, your massage may include cozy blankets, a heated massage table, a heating pad, and some hot stones.
